Hunter Shooter Course

This Course is for:

Hunters preparing for the upcoming statewide rifle deer season
Hunters preparing for Western Hunts
Shooters looking to expand their knowledge on precision shooting
Shooters wanting to learn more about ballistics
Shooters and Hunters wanting to learn about ballistic apps
Hunters and Shooters looking to purchase a new rifle or other equipment
Hunters and Shooters wanting to learn more about cartridges and bullets

This course will cover:

Advanced rifle safety in the field
Caliber and Cartridge selection
Bullets and ballistics
Rifle setup
Equipment considerations
Modern marksmanship fundamentals
Field Shooting techniques
Ballistic application use
Optional shooting evaluation
- If you bring a rifle, make sure it is unloaded, clear, and in a case. You will need approximately one box of ammunition.

Cost:

$50 for members
Non-members is $85 (which includes a membership).

Youth Firearms Safety Field Day

Note: There is no cost for the Field Day. However, there are set fees for both the HUNTER COURSE and the MN DNR validation.

Additional Information:

This class is for the Field Day only. The student MUST HAVE COMPLETED the online course first and bring their voucher on the day of this class.
The student must be at least 11 years old to take the class
You will receive a pre-registration confirmation email
You will receive a reminder email and a “what to bring” checklist 2-3 weeks before the class.

Firearms Training

Cedar Mills Gun Club Offers The MN DNR Youth Field Day Course Spring and Fall.

To take the class the student must have completed the HUNTER COURSE and bring their voucher of completion to the field day.

This course takes approximately 8 hours, but your student may start and stop as needed
The Voucher is good for one year from the date of completion
Your student should have access to the course for one year

There are different requirements for students over 18, however, they are encouraged to take the field day at an approved location with certified instructors.

MN Concealed Carry Class
